In the following clip from a 2008 Australian documentary, a community in a Syrian village is mentioned. The inhabitants are 50% Muslim and 50% Christian and they all speak Aramaic, though the Muslims are superior in its understanding and preservation. This is because it is only through Arabic that other Semitic languages can be fully understood and restored, and this in turn is because Arabic (Fuṣ-ḥā) is a clear (mubeen) language, has remained pure, and has not undergone devolution, dilution or distortion, and is preserved with the Qur'an.

In the clip below, a Christian priest acknowledges that Aramaic is better preserved by Muslims.
