Ibn Taymiyyah recounts his debate with Christians to some Sufis he was arguing with regarding the issue of divine union (ittiḥād) and explains that there is no sustainable argument for claiming divinity for Jesus as whatever argument is brought, then an equal or greater argument exists for others among the Prophets and Messengers.
